GridFlow — Terms & Data Privacy
Last updated: 23 April 2026
Terms of Use
By installing or using GridFlow from Google Play, the Apple App Store, or an approved test distribution channel, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Data Privacy statements. If you do not agree, you should uninstall the app and discontinue use.
GridFlow is provided for entertainment. The game includes swipe-based tile movement, merging, score tracking, high scores, power-ups, audio, and haptic feedback. Features may be adjusted, added, removed, or balanced over time.
GridFlow is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device, or freedom from defects. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Curious 12 and the app's developers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the app.
You agree not to misuse GridFlow, attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer the app, copy its assets for redistribution, or use the app in a way that infringes the rights of Curious 12 or any third party.
Data Privacy & Safety
GridFlow is designed as an offline-first game. At the time of this policy, the app does not create accounts, send gameplay data to a GridFlow server, or run advertising. GridFlow does use Google Analytics for Firebase on iOS and is intended to use the same analytics service on Android. The app does not sell personal data.
Data We Store On Your Device
- High scores and gameplay summaries — Saved locally so you can view your best runs. These scores are not uploaded by GridFlow.
- Settings — Audio volume and haptic feedback choices may be stored locally so the app can remember your preferences.
- Temporary gameplay state — The app may keep current board state in memory while you play.
Removing GridFlow from your device deletes locally stored app data, subject to any device-level backups you have enabled through iOS, Android, iCloud, Google, or another operating-system backup service.
Data We Do Not Collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or account profile.
- No precise or approximate location.
- No contacts, calendar, reminders, photos, camera, or microphone.
- No health, fitness, financial, or payment information.
- No advertising identifiers for personalised advertising.
- No user accounts or directly identifying profile information.
Analytics We Do Collect
GridFlow uses Google Analytics for Firebase to measure gameplay and app usage patterns. The iOS app now includes Firebase Analytics, and the Android app is expected to use the same analytics implementation.
- Gameplay events — For example game starts, level starts and completions, tile stage progression, power usage, and high score events.
- Basic app and device context — For example platform, board size, session identifiers generated by the app, and event timing needed for analytics reports.
GridFlow does not use Firebase Analytics for personalised advertising, does not intentionally collect IDFA on iOS, and does not combine analytics data with user accounts because GridFlow does not provide user accounts.
Device Permissions
GridFlow uses device audio output for sound effects and may use haptic feedback for tactile game responses. On Android, the operating system or Expo audio layer may declare an audio-settings permission to support playback behaviour. GridFlow does not record audio, request microphone access, or use background audio recording.
Third Parties
GridFlow is built with Expo and React Native. The app may be distributed through Apple, Google, Expo Application Services, or test distribution tools, each of which processes data under its own terms when you install, update, review, or test the app through those services. GridFlow also uses Google Analytics for Firebase for product analytics. GridFlow itself does not transmit gameplay or personal data to a Curious 12 backend.
Apple App Store Disclosures
| Data category | Purpose & notes | Linked to you? | Used for tracking? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gameplay scores and settings | Stored locally on the device for high scores, audio volume, and haptic preferences. Not sent to GridFlow servers. | No | No |
| Gameplay analytics events | Sent to Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app usage and gameplay progression, such as game starts, level progress, tile stages, power usage, and high score events. | No | No |
iOS Permission Summary
- GridFlow does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, Bluetooth, health, fitness, or tracking permissions.
- GridFlow may use standard device audio output and haptic feedback for game feel.
- GridFlow uses Firebase Analytics without ad identifier support on iOS.
End User License
GridFlow on iOS is offered under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Curious 12 remains responsible for GridFlow support and privacy inquiries.
Google Play Disclosures
The Android version of GridFlow uses package name
com.curious12.gridflow. GridFlow is expected to use Google
Analytics for Firebase on Android as well as iOS, so the Google Play
Data safety form should be prepared on the assumption that analytics
event data will be collected for app analytics.
GridFlow may store high scores and preferences locally on your device. GridFlow is also expected to send gameplay analytics events through Firebase on Android. Local app data can be removed by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app.
Children
GridFlow is a general-audience puzzle game. It is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. GridFlow does use analytics for app measurement, but it is not intended for personalised advertising and does not provide user accounts.
Your Choices & Rights
- Adjust audio volume and haptic feedback from GridFlow settings where available.
- Delete local high scores and preferences by removing the app or clearing app storage through your device settings.
- For formal privacy requests, email support@curious12.com with "GridFlow Privacy" in the subject.
Changes to These Terms
We may update this page to reflect changes in app functionality, store requirements, or legal obligations. If GridFlow later adds online features, cloud saves, leaderboards, advertising, or any feature that changes data handling beyond the analytics described here, this document should be updated before that version is submitted to app stores.
